李旭平 浙江大学文学院教授，博士生导师。个人研究兴趣为名词性短语的句法和语义，比如名词、数词、量词、指示词等词类的语义共性和跨语言差异。近年来对普通话、吴语、壮语、彝语等不同语言的相关结构和范畴做过专题考查，探究不同语言中的形态句法如何体现和制约语义的表达。

讲座摘要：

Place names and person names are two of the most representative types of proper names. It is the property of being “rigid” that unifies them as a single linguistic phenomenon (Kripke 1980). However, Acquaviva (2019: 4) suggests that names for persons, animals, place-names and other objects follow distinct patterns and it is not plausible to force the same grammatical format on them all. This study investigates the syntactic make-ups of place names in English, French and Chinese. It is worthwhile to find out whether and to what extent the analyses on proper names proposed in Longobardi (1999) and Matushansky (2008) are applicable to place names in these languages.
